Farmers Markets | Los Angeles

Welcome back to my blog! If this is your first time here, welcome! This post is going to be all about farmers markets.

I have LOVED going to a farmers market once a week. It is so nice to be outside and walk around and look at all the different vendors. I love getting my produce from them. The products are soooo much more fresh than anything you can find in a store. I also like to get any speciality items that are there that week. There are always new vendors with different things to offer. Here are a few of my favorite things that I got this past weekend!

Mixed Berry Cobbler (Vegan & Gluten Free)

Sooo good!!! I had to stop myself from eating the whole thing in one sitting. It's from Sharon's Heavenly Cobblers. They have non-vegan cobblers and pies too!

Plums

The plums are so yummy! It's really nice because they usually have some of the fruit cut up so you can taste it before you buy it. There are so many different varieties and flavors that you can't get in a grocery store! I also got great peaches and nectarines.

Nut Butters

Okay, these nut butters are INSANE. They are so so so fresh and delicious! They are all organic and vegan (hence the name, OrVeganic). If you see this at any of the farmers markets, TRY IT! Pretty much every vendor will give you a taste of their product which is really great.

Tomatoes

The tomatoes that I have gotten have been so good. There are always different colors and sizes so they're really fun to cook with.

JAM

This jam is RIDICULOUS. Last time I got strawberry jam and I finished it in a week. I have been using this with the peanut butter that I mentioned above... it's unreal. This time I got apricot jam and cherry jam. I don't like getting store bought jam because it is usually packed with sugar, preservatives, and additives.

I got this gnocchi and marinara sauce (below) from a vendor that gets everything from Italy. He sells so many different kinds of fresh pasta, sauces, and more. I have also gotten pesto from him and it is to die for.

Another thing that I love getting at farmers markets is flowers and plants! They have so many varieties of flowers for any occasion. This week I got 2 little succulents and I had them put in this cute little vase! I also got beautiful orchids :)

Here are some farmers markets that I have found in the Los Angeles Area. And since we're in sunny California, these are all open year round!
